Not every move needs a full crew, a truck, and a full-service price tag. Sometimes you just need people who know how to lift a couch without putting a hole in the wall. That's what our labor-only service is for.
Here's how it usually comes up: you've rented a U-Haul or a Penske truck yourself and don't want to load it alone. Or you bought a POD or storage container and it's sitting in your driveway, half-full, because your back gave out after the first hour. Or your out-of-state family is flying in to help you move, and they're great company but nobody in that group can carry a dresser down a flight of stairs. That's exactly where we come in.
What We Actually Do
We send a crew — the same guys who work our full-service moves — to handle the physical labor. That means:
- Loading a rental truck, trailer, POD, or storage container
- Unloading one once it arrives at your new place
- Moving furniture and boxes from room to room inside your home
- Rearranging heavy furniture for a remodel, a new layout, or getting a house ready to list
- Helping unload after a long-distance move once your truck rolls into town
You handle the driving and the truck rental — we handle the parts that hurt your back and your walls. Our crew brings straps, dollies, furniture pads, and enough experience to know how to get a couch around a tight stairwell corner without gouging the drywall.
Who This Is For
This works well if you're trying to keep your moving budget down and you're fine driving the truck yourself. It also works if you're physically capable of a normal move but just don't have enough hands — a lot of our labor-only calls come from people whose friends bailed the morning of the move, or from renters who booked a truck without thinking through who was actually going to load it.
It's not the right fit if you need us to also drive the truck or handle packing your boxes — for that, take a look at our full residential moving service instead.
How Pricing Works
Labor-only jobs are billed hourly rather than by weight or distance, since we're not providing the truck. Crew size depends on how much you're moving and how much time you're trying to save — a two-bedroom apartment load usually runs differently than a four-bedroom house unload. Call us, tell us roughly what you've got and where it's going, and we'll give you a straightforward hourly estimate before anyone shows up. No surprise fees tacked on at the end.
Serving Little Rock and North Little Rock
We run labor-only crews throughout Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the surrounding areas. If you've already got the truck reserved, give us a call at (501) 442-7069 and we'll get a crew scheduled for your load or unload date.
